What’s one thing you could do this week to improve the interactions between you and your colleagues? If you need some ideas, check out A Better Paradigm’s resource directory and download our planner/journal filled with prompts for stronger work team culture.

🦋 Content Shares to Inspire Workplace Culture Shifts

  • We are in the chasm as Terri Maxwell tells us in Shift/Co’s forecast for value-based business models. If you read my e-briefing regularly, Shift/Co’s forecast is 100% for you. It provides data and POVs on the tension in our business environment as we shift from authoritarian, command-and-control, greed-driven business models to business models that leverage and celebrate people-centered, for-profit businesses.
  • What have we learned from “the great WFH experiment” over the last 5 years? Gretchen Gavett shares data and perspectives. Here’s a sneak-peak recommendation from Gretchen, “First, for hybrid work contexts, I would encourage the use of the physical office to align with project development phases for teams, instead of a set number of days a week for the entire work population.”
  • Good decision making is essential to success, yet America’s literacy rates are plummeting, leading to an inability to assess information and make intelligent decisions. How can we turn this around?
  • Americans are working fewer hours these days according to the latest Gallup research. This article from Workplace suggests reasons you’ll want to factor as you and your colleagues focus on improving your workplace culture.

🖋 Noteworthy: The Essentials of Leadership

I’m grateful that one of the benefits of building A Better Paradigm is meeting the people working globally to foster the conscious-business movement. Last week, I had the pleasure of talking with Shahmeen Sadiq. She’s been coaching companies on improving their teams and profits for over 20 years and has launched a program called The New Essentials of Leadership. The new program helps companies accelerate the implementation of employee-focused practices for bigger, faster wins. I love the simplicity and practicality of this graphic:

The Essentials of Leadership graphic highlighting: Self-awareness, Building a stronger container, compassion 2.0, understanding rank, power and prejudice, undefending, having difficult conversations well.

🌟 Do Good Spotlight: The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

The ACLU advocates and lobbies for the Constitutional rights of US citizens. It has 54 local offices across the U.S. working with attorneys and activists in their communities to shape better policies and spread awareness about their states’ priority civil rights issues.

🎉 Just for Fun

I’ve been cooking up a storm lately (scones, Marry Me Chicken, Eggroll Bowls, Asian Cucumber Salad…), so this Wall Street Journal piece about the best butters is a heart-felt share. 😊

Until Next Time…

To achieve all that you’re here to accomplish, it’s mission critical to take at least a few minutes each day to focus on your intentions and tie those to your purpose. If you haven’t sat quietly with yourself today, how about taking a few minutes right now? Ahhhhhh, ☺️ there you go….
