I’d like to share two related thoughts that keep showing up for me this week.

The first is that it’s okay to be grateful and purposefully acknowledge it. In fact, it’s good for you.

With all that is going on in the world around us, we may feel guilty for expressing gratitude while others are suffering. But it is precisely because we can find opportunities to be thankful that we should energetically give thanks. Why? Because the good energy you generate expressing gratitude has a positive effect on you and indirectly, those around you. More research on this here

And on a related note, being grateful is not synonymous with being satisfied. To the contrary. When you have goals, radiating thankfulness opens your mind and allows you to see new opportunities more clearly.

So, in the interest of helping yourself and consequently others, try this:

  • Jot a few lines about what you are grateful for and say them aloud
  • Think about what you’d like to do next and why
  • Ride the positive vibes you create to achieve more to be thankful for

🥰 Kindness is Contagious, Pass It Along: Snow Fairies

We had a surprise snow storm over the weekend and were preparing to get out there and shovel when we noticed our driveway and walkway were already cleared. We looked out the door and saw our neighbors shoveling their driveway and texted them:, “Did you shovel our driveway? Thank you!” to which they responded, “It wasn’t us, it was the snow fairies.”

When I talk about gratitude, I always think of the neighborhood we moved into 6 years ago this month. Truly awesome people who think of others and are proactively kind.

🌟 Do Good Spotlight: Breakthrough T1D

Their vision: a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research and has been actively searching for a cure since 1970. In addition to research, they offer many resources to those affected by the disease. See how you can help: Breakthrough T1D.

Until Next Time…

Take a few minutes to think about what you are thankful for and how you can use your resources to help those who are struggling.

Then, use that same “gratitude energy” toward your ambitions to invite what you need to achieve them.

Feeling motivated? Good! Keep me posted on how it goes and, as always, if there’s anything I can do to help you, let me know.

Have a great week!
